Why I Became a Therapist
My story begins in the Midwest, where I was born and raised. While growing up, I aspired to help people. For several years, I volunteered at a domestic violence shelter and listened to people's stories. Here, I discovered my passion for connecting with others and walking alongside them during difficult changes and growth.
This discovery initiated my return to school, earning a Master's degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago in 2005. That same year, I moved to Phoenix to start a new journey.
I love being a therapist and consider it a privilege to hear my clients' stories and support them through their journeys. I'm passionate about helping you help yourself. Whether it's reconnecting with your partner or getting past your past, I'm here for you.
My clients describe me as affirming and gentle, while effectively getting to the heart of the matter. I have a sense of humor and am personable — both must-haves for a relatable therapist in my book.
